Crow & Iron started as a single chair in the back of a print shop and grew, slowly and on purpose, into a three-artist studio that still books by appointment only. We believe a tattoo is a collaboration — you bring the idea and the placement, we bring twenty-plus combined years of putting ink where it'll still look right in twenty more.
Every consult starts with paper before it touches skin. Our artists draw your piece to fit your body, not the other way around, and we'll always tell you honestly if an idea needs a different approach to age well.
Mara trained under a single-needle specialist in Antwerp before settling into blackwork and architectural fine line. She keeps a sketchbook of botanical studies that ends up in most of her custom pieces, and she's particular about negative space — ask her about it and you'll get a twenty-minute answer.
Desmond apprenticed in a street shop that did nothing but traditional flash for six years before he started layering in color realism. He still hand-draws every flash sheet on the wall behind the front desk, and he's the one to see for bold linework that holds up for decades.
Yuki studied traditional irezumi composition in Osaka before bringing it stateside, and now splits her time between full back pieces and smaller illustrative work that borrows the same sense of movement. She books large-scale projects in multi-session arcs, so plan ahead.
